Pasta on Phase two of the HCG Diet, the answer is no..:(
But if you have never heard of the Zucchini Pasta alternative, I will let you in on a little secret. Zucchini Noodles or as we like to call them, Zoodles.
According to the USDA nutritional database, one cup of cooked spaghetti has around 200 calories and 40 grams of carbs.
One cup of Zucchini Noodles has just 20 calories and only 5 grams of carbs.
This means that you eat around 10 times the amount of zoodles to equal 1 cup of pasta. Guilt free, just the way we like it.
So, how do we make these magical Zoodles. Now, you can use a Spiralizer like this one from the warehouse. Or simply follow the instructions in the video below
1 large zucchini (About 1 cup’s worth)
2 Garlic cloves crushed
1/4 Teaspoon salt
Simply drop the Zoodles in to a pot of boiling salted water, with the crushed garlic. Cooked till al dente (soft but not too soft) or to suit your tastes. Serve with fresh herbs, garlic chicken and chilli flakes.
