Lost 34.5cm So Far

 I was always a pretty slender kid up until my teens where I had an accident at work and had to spend 8 months on crutches….

Needless to say the weight went on.

I managed to curb it eventually around the 75kg mark by the time I was 25 but then I got pregnant with my first child where I had constant morning sickness. The only thing that prevented me being sick was lots of ginger beer and gingernut biscuits. Let’s just say that I ballooned up to 94kg by the time I was due.

After his birth, I eventually managed to get down to around the 80kg mark but wasn’t happy with myself. I went to the gym each day while I could as well as eating as healthily as possible while being a full time employee and mum but I couldn’t shake the weight.

Two and a half years later, I fell pregnant with my second child where I ended up getting really sick with pre-eclampsia and toxaemia, combined with yep you guessed it…more constant morning sickness!
End result was emergency C-Section and prem baby in Special Care Baby Unit with toddler at home. Having had such a rough time with it, I turned to food for comfort.
I was constantly eating something, even if it was fruit and veges but my main thing was cakes and biscuits.

3 years on and I was back to the 94.3kg mark. I tried cutting down on the cakes, biscuits and sweets combined with smaller portions and more regular exercise but nothing was working. Nothing was fitting either so I was getting pretty desperate. I felt like a beached whale that didn’t like to look at herself in the mirror.

During this time, I started working at a small family business where I met Lynette who was in the same sort of situation weight-wise as me. Lynette then proceeded to lose an incredible amount of weight in a rather short time on an amazingly strict diet…in the end I asked her what that diet was and found out about Dr Simeon and the HCG Diet.

I did some research on the HCG Diet and found Dr Simeons Pounds and Inches manuscript which I printed off to read. I also found your website that day and before I had even finished reading the manuscript, I had ordered the drops from you!

I was really keen to get started as I was sure it would work. I couldn’t wait to get the drops so I could start loading and get into it. I never realised that loading would be so hard!

I started taking the drops as soon as I received them in the morning on the Friday and started loading straight away…KFC for dinner, lots of sweets, chocolates, muffins etc…Man I felt terrible..
Saturday was even worse – basically I had to eat even when I didn’t want to, just to make sure that I loaded fully.
Sunday came and I had my first day of low cal. I was so thirsty but determined to stick to it..I think I went through 5 litres of water that day!
I am so glad I did stick with it though…I jumped on the scales the next morning and I had lost 1.7kg!!!

By the end of my first week, I had lost 4.7kg and 20.5cm all over! I couldn’t believe it and neither could my husband!
By the end of my second week, I had lost 7.2kg and a total of 28.5cm and my husband had purchased his drops as well after seeing the results I was getting. Surprisingly enough, I wasn’t at all hungry!

Week three slowed down a bit with a loss of 1.9kg however I was expecting that after talking with Lynette…doesn’t stop it being a bit gutting though.

I’m now up to almost the end of my 5th week with a total of 11.4kg lost so far but the weight loss has slowed down so much that I’m wondering what I’m doing wrong as I have been sticking to the diet in every  way… I think the thing that I’ve figured out is that I can’t just stick to 2 litres of water a day…it doesn’t seem to be enough for my body.

I think the hardest thing about this program is being able to schedule in the time to cook meals for my husband and myself that we can eat on the program and cooking totally separate meals for my 2 year old and 5 year old at the same time.

I’ve still got 8 days to go before I go onto maintenance but surprisingly all I am craving is lots of fresh fruit and yoghurt…its amazing how much this experience can change your taste buds and eating habits. I’m not even really tempted by the things that my kids can eat such as vegetable fingers etc!

I think I will have to do a second course as soon as I can as I’m only dow to 82.0kg with 8 days to go but I cannot wait to see where I end up as I’ve lost a total of 43.5cm so far around my bust, waist, hips, thighs and arms.
